– Newborn baby died during treatment in private hospital, family members created ruckus

Agra: A newborn baby died on Friday during treatment in a private hospital in Etmaddaula police station area of Agra. Angered by this, the family members created a ruckus accusing the doctors of negligence. After about an hour, the police could send the child's body for post-mortem. Omveer Singh, resident of C Block of Trans Yamuna Colony here, is a teacher. His brother Himanshu told that on March 13, Omveer Singh's wife Vidya gave birth to a son at around 12:30 in the nursing home. The doctor immediately referred the child to Dr. Abhishek Gupta's hospital for admission in NICU. There the doctor diagnosed dirty water in the child's stomach and asked for surgery. Surgery took place at 8 pm. After this the doctor said that the child is out of danger. The child's condition improved for two consecutive days. He came after seeing the child at one o'clock on Friday. During this time he was moving his hands and legs. The doctor declared him dead after 30 minutes. It is alleged that the hospital staff gave the child some wrong medicine or switched off the ventilator. Due to this the child died.
